On the 22d of October about 700 students from all over Europe were looking for studying abroad opportunities on the first day of AEGEE’s biannual general assembly, the Agora in Kiev.
22 Universities and other institutions got the opportuity to present themselves to the members of AEGEE attending the Agora and students from Ukraine. The Forum was a complex of university fair and a set of workshops, discussions and master classes. It didn’t only make students familiar with different opportunities of studying in Europe but also provided them with all necessary information they have to know before applying for the educational programmes.
The idea behind:
High quality education is always in demand especially now when labor market has redoubled the requirements to the employees. Students
from all over Europe and especially Eastern Europe are seeking for opportunities of receiving exceptional knowledge and skills. That is why, the idea of such forum occurred.
Many students face problems such as how to write an excellent motivation letter, what exams and tests they should pass, how to find and receive a scholarship or grant, what documents you have to provide if you plan to study in the university in foreign country and many others. All these points will be discussed during the sessions while visiting university fair will help students to collect information on the best universities
in Europe and talk personally with the experts from those universities.
Moreover, in frames of the forum there will be country presentations in terms of education system and education possibilities. The countries introduced during such presentations will be the EU countries from which universities are coming for the fair and it is scheduled that universities will be able to make a short video presentation here. Young people who studied in these countries will be invited as speakers to share
the experience. Also embassy representatives will be invited.
The event was under the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Kyiv Local State Administration.
AEGEE will organise its next Study in Europe Forum connected to the Spring Agora in Leiden.
