AEGEE has 13 000 members in close to 200 cities across Europe. This page presents statistics about the member’s of AEGEE in terms of studies, age and gender distribution, as of September 2012.
The majority of AEGEE’s members pursue studies in the fields of Applied Sciences (32%), Social Sciences (29%), or Humanities (28%). A significant number from among them (22%) specialise in Economics. 48% of members are currently pursuing Bachelor’s degrees. As for age, 53% of people from the AEGEE network are between 21 and 25 years old, while 36% are between the ages of 26 and 30.
The Summer University is AEGEE’s biggest project, running since 1988. From 2011 to 2012, the number of events organised within the framework of the project increased from 77 to 81. The number of places for participants in 2012 was 2 347.
